Choosing the right keyboard for your Mac

MacBook keyboards are specific to the model and layout (QWERTY, AZERTY…). On some MacBooks (2016-2019), the "butterfly" mechanism is prone to sticking or unresponsive keys — learn more about the butterfly defect. Depending on the model, the keyboard is replaced on its own or with the top case.
