Overview
Set of 4 CD3217B12 USB-C chips for MacBook Pro 13" Retina Touch Bar (A2251, 2020) — a set of 4 new CD3217B12 chips, the Texas Instruments USB-C / Power Delivery controller, to be soldered onto the MacBook Pro 13" A2251 logic board. The kit contains all 4 CD3217B12 chips of this logic board.
Common symptoms: Mac not charging, USB-C / Thunderbolt 3 port not working, Mac won’t turn on, USB-C ammeter stuck at 5 V, chip overheating or shorted.
Chips supplied reballed (solder balls already applied), ready to solder. Fitted by soldering (hot-air station): this part is intended for equipped repair technicians. Each chip carries a letter matching its position on the logic board: chip X replaces U2800_X, chip W replaces U2800_W, chip T replaces U2800_T and chip R replaces U2800_R. Do not swap them.
