Overview

LCD angle sensor for MacBook Air 13.6" (A2681/A3113, M2/M3, 2022-2024) — the screen angle sensor (LAS, Lid Angle Sensor). Located at the hinge, it measures how far the screen is open: it is what tells the Mac when to go to sleep and when to wake up.

Common symptoms: the Mac no longer goes to sleep when you close the screen, does not wake up when you open it, or macOS Repair Assistant reports a problem with the angle sensor.

Good to know: each MacBook generation has its own sensor, and a part designed for another model will not necessarily fit. Check your model number before ordering. After fitting, macOS Repair Assistant may ask you to calibrate the sensor: this is normal.
