SSD: 256GB M.2 NVME PCle Gen 3×4, NVMe 1.3 (2280)
3-year manufacturer warranty.
KingSpec NX-256GB 256 GB SSD, M.2 2280 form factor (22 × 80 mm), PCIe Gen 3 ×4 interface and NVMe 1.3 protocol. New, with a 3-year manufacturer's warranty.
At PCIe Gen 3 ×4, it is much faster than a SATA SSD, which tops out at around 550 MB/s.
The 2280 format (80 mm long) is the most common in laptops and desktop motherboards.
256 GB is enough for the system and apps; for a large photo library or video, 1 TB is a better choice.
On a Mac, it fits with an adapter for the Apple SSD connector (sold separately) in models with a removable SSD: MacBook Air from 2013 to 2017, MacBook Pro Retina from late 2013 to 2015, 13-inch MacBook Pro without Touch Bar from 2016-2017, Mac mini 2014, Mac Pro 2013 and iMac from late 2013 onwards, running macOS 10.13 High Sierra or later. Macs with a soldered SSD cannot take it.
Works with macOS, Windows and Linux.
