What is this kit for?

This kit turns an American QWERTY keyboard (US, ANSI layout) into a genuine French AZERTY keyboard, right on the keys: no software remapping, no system settings. The printed characters physically match the French layout.

The layout stays ANSI: you keep the short Enter key of the US keyboard (not the large L-shaped Enter of ISO keyboards). So you don't lose any AZERTY character, the kit includes the extra 4-symbol key (£ # ` @) that is missing from US keyboards.

Overview

This spare part is compatible with the MacBook Pro 13″ (2016–2019) and MacBook Pro 15″ (2016–2019). If your part is faulty, replacing it fixes the problem in the vast majority of cases.
