Overview

LCD Panel for MacBook Pro 15" (A1990, 2018) — a new OEM panel, manufactured by LG. Apple does not make display panels: it buys them from LG. This is therefore the same panel as the one fitted at the factory, sold as a spare part.

Panel only: the backlight is not included. It is a separate layer that stays with your display, along with the other components (cable, frame, camera). Brightness is produced by your original backlight, so it remains unchanged.

Symptoms addressed: cracked screen, lines or stains in the image, black display, dead pixels.

What this part does not fix: a backlight failure (dim image, uneven areas, display visible only under a torch) — that calls for the backlight unit or the complete display.

Tested under power: every panel is mounted on a tester with a backlight plate — image, uniformity, pixels and ribbon cables checked before dispatch.

Installation for technicians: separating the panel from the backlight and transferring the cable requires controlled heat and proper tooling. Test the panel before final reassembly.
