Every Place du Mac part is identified by the compatible Apple model number(s) (for example A1406, A1502, A2338) and by release year. The model number (Axxxx reference) is on the back of the device or in the “About This Mac” menu, then “System Report”. On each product page, a detailed compatibility table lists the relevant models, years and Apple references. If in doubt, the workshop checks compatibility before shipping. Browse parts by Mac model.
What do grades A, B and C mean on used parts?
Place du Mac classifies used parts into three grades at decreasing prices: Grade A = excellent condition, almost new, no visible scratches; Grade B = good condition, minor usage micro-scratches with no functional impact; Grade C = fair condition, visible signs of use but fully functional part. All parts, whatever the grade, are tested before sale and guaranteed for 2 years. See also the refurbished Macs.
What is the warranty and returns policy?
All parts are guaranteed for 2 years. Refurbished Macs are tested and guaranteed. The customer has a 14-day right of withdrawal from receipt. Return costs are borne by the buyer in the event of withdrawal; a prepaid return label is provided if the part is defective (warranty). Details in our terms and conditions of sale.
From where and how quickly does Place du Mac ship?
Shipping is from Paris. Orders confirmed before 3:00 pm are prepared and handed to the carrier the same day (maximum 24 h, excluding weekends and public holidays). Place du Mac delivers to France and to more than 70 countries. The standard method is SO Colissimo. Rates and lead times on the Delivery page.
Does Place du Mac repair Macs, and where?
Yes. The workshop is located at 51 rue du Faubourg Poissonnière, 75009 Paris. Services: diagnostics, repair and micro-soldering of Apple logic boards, screen and battery replacement, data recovery.
